At LVCHO, we believe everyone deserves the chance to live a healthy life—and that starts with access. For 26 years, we’ve been building local solutions to improve health outcomes right here in Lompoc.
Our mission is to improve the health of the community by ensuring equal access to a coordinated, local system of health promotion, disease prevention, and high-quality treatment services.
We do that by listening to our community and showing up where we’re needed. Whether it’s supporting Savie Health, the only free clinic in town, or filling over 2,000 prescription payments for neighbors who couldn’t otherwise afford them—we’re here to remove barriers and create real impact.
Through Cafecito Comunitario, we’re hosting bilingual community conversations that reach hundreds with health education. Our Wellness Empowerment & Leadership Network brings together local nonprofit and civic leaders to support each other and lead with intention. And with nearly $3 million in CalTrans funding, we’re rolling out a major Active Transportation Program—making it safer for students and families to walk and bike in four of Lompoc’s most underserved school neighborhoods.
We also helped create Route One Farmers Market and co-led the renovation of the Lompoc Community Track & Field, which now sees more than 1,700 visits every six months from youth, adults, and families across the Valley.
